Laura lives by a river in rural Michigan with her family, one sweet but cerebrally challenged golden retriever, and a flock of comical chickens. Her family has enjoyed many river activities such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, river clean up, and an occasional dipping of the toes. Her other books include Puddle Jumper (2013), Building the Bridge School: A Story About Michigan’s First Public School (August 2024), Clucky's Week (Lawley Kids 2025), Orchestra for Oliver: Even the Shortest Lives Are Special (Pauline Media 2026), and many other stories waiting to be shared.
